Don't be a coward-your life is too precious for that!

Not many things are handed to us on a silver plate. Especially not those very important ones. Some people spend their lives playing it safe, fitting in some picture of the world they created. They believe that taking risks is not smart, that staying ‘close to home’ is going to keep them happy (or at least not expose them to unnecessary pain).

What are they really doing?

They are afraid, they don’t believe in themselves, they feel they are not strong enough or smart enough to succeed…so they are refusing to even try. It comes down to confidence and self-esteem. Taking risks is not fun for anyone. Not many of us are adrenaline junkies in a sense of risking everything we have in order to maybe succeed.

But we do it anyway.

And I must tell you, there’s no such thing as unnecessary pain. Pain helps us grow, pain is there to show us that we are doing something wrong, it is there to wake us up, shake us, break us so that we can recreate the better version of ourselves. Pain is inevitable, wherever you are, whoever you are, and no matter how much you try to avoid it.

You might as well accept this reality and train your brain not to go into full panic mode when something bad happens. There are ways to cope with major life hardships and heartbreaks.

But being scared to try and reach for your dreams just because there is a possibility of getting hurt- you are just going to end up feeling the pain of regret.

I know how it feels…

I changed continents two times in my life. I was starting over three times. I learned two new languages, worked hard to fit in in two different cultures. It wasn’t easy…but I'm glad that I did it. Not only for the things I got from it, but for the strength I gained from doing it. Looking back at that 20-year-old little girl (because that’s exactly what I was, just a girl, a child, spoiled, insecure, scared) I can’t really relate to her. I changed so much. And I wouldn’t have done it if I stayed in my small city, in my small country…

Journey wasn’t easy. There were a lot of tears, many bad things happened to me, many bad things I choose to let happen to me by being naïve BUT I would never have it any other way. I so love the person I am today and I wouldn’t be me, here, like this, if I didn’t go through all those things.

So, please… stop playing it safe!!!!

If you hate your effing jog quit!

If that relationship you are in doesn’t feel right but you are too scared to be alone, toughen the f.. up and leave!

If you don’t like your environment, your body, your friends…change something!

In the end of their lives, people never regret things that they did do, they regret the things they didn’t!!!!

Don’t let yourself live with longing for something, for wishing but never trying… don’t waste this precious life!
